Tesoro Group is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join one of our long-term clients' team at a Retirement Community in Apple Valley. The ideal candidate will have 3 years' experience in maintenance experience, unclogging sinks, changing lightbulbs, light painting grounds keeping experience/curb appeal, be able to manage/organize daily tasks independently. 2nd Class Boilers License and mechanical and HVAC knowledge is required for this role. This is a contract to hire role (90-180 days before conversion).

This role will be working with (1) building with 125+ units of independent living, assisted living and memory care units.

Salary: $25/hour DOQ. This is a contract to hire role (90-180 days before conversion).

Schedule: Monday – Friday 8am – 430pm.

Responsibilities

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for creating a safe and secure environment by maintaining the buildings, grounds, and equipment in a safe and efficient manner, consistent with regulations and established policies, procedures, and best practices.

• Maintain an attractive campus appearance consistent with the client's intent.
• Execute assigned responsibilities for buildings and grounds as defined by the site leadership.
• Assignments may include:
• Building and Equipment repair
• Troubleshooting complex problems
• Working with contractors and vendors
• Maintain life safety systems
• Preventive maintenance routines
• Completion of daily work orders
• Building, grounds, and equipment maintenance
• Painting
• Apartment turns
• Building maintenance
• Customer requests
• Snow removal
• Pool care
• Other projects as assigned

Qualifications and Experience:

• At least 3 years' experience in commercial or residential building maintenance.
• 2nd Class Boilers License is required (1st Class C is highly preferred).
• Experience with Mechanical and HVAC is required for this role
• Able to work independently, multitask, follow directions and work under supervision.
• Relate well and provide a professional image and services to all customers.
• Demonstrated compatibility with Company's mission and operating philosophies.
• Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with all customers.
• Must be able to participate in an afterhours emergency on-call rotation consisting of one week on-call at a frequency depending on the size of the on-call group.
• Have a valid driver's license and valid auto insurance.
• Be able to pass a Motor vehicle report.
