Job Responsibilities - Create Customized Therapy Plans: Understand each patient's unique needs and design personalized treatment strategies aimed at helping them achieve their goals.
- Implement Therapeutic Techniques: Apply research-based practices to improve patients' motor function, cognitive abilities, and daily living skills.
- Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Teams: Partner with OTs, PTs, STs, physicians, and nursing staff to deliver comprehensive, integrated care.
- Educate Patients and Families: Instruct patients and their caregivers on effective therapy techniques to ensure progress is maintained at home.
- Assess and Document Progress: Monitor patient development and fine-tune treatment plans as needed to keep them on track toward their objectives.
Education Requirements - Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Engagement in continuing education and post-graduate certifications is encouraged and supported.
Required Licenses and Certifications - Current Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license.
- NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification mandatory.
