The Food Services Director (FSD) is responsible for the preparation and serving of all meals. The FSD manages the food service production and delivery system, including purchase and inventory of food and supplies. This role will ensure conformance with food quality, nutrition, and productivity standards. The FSD will train, manage and supervise food service staff, practice time management techniques, and ensure the highest possible customer satisfaction. This position works effectively with the facility leadership team top ensure success of the facility by completing the following core job duties and other required tasks:

• Direct the expenditure of the food service budget.
• Ensure that the food service operates within established budgetary guidelines.
• Assign, direct and supervise food service workers.
• Assist in the hiring, transfer, promotion, demotion, or dismissal of food service workers.
• Follow proper receiving, storage, and preparation techniques to ensure that all food items are maintained at a high quality until consumed.
• Plan, implement, and review all breakfast and lunch menus.
• Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and safety in the kitchen.
• Prepare all local, state and accreditation reports as directed or required.
• Implement strategies to create an atmosphere that will attract and retain customers.
• Understand and implement safety procedures as required
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High School diploma or equivalent or 3 years' experience in a food services capacity required.
• Minimum one year in a supervisory position required.
• ServSafe Certification required.

• Proficiency in food reparation, regulation compliance and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas.

• Ability to work individually, with the supervision of cooks and other employees in the Food Service Department to improve the overall success of our kitchen.
