Position Summary

As the Sr. Fabrication Supervisor , you’ll oversee daily operations in the fabrication department, mentor team members, and ensure quality and efficiency in production processes. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on driving workflow, maintaining standards, and promoting continuous improvement on the shop floor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and support daily production schedules to meet deadlines.
  • Maintain high-quality standards for fabricated products.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and BOMs.
  • Operate fabrication tools and equipment (e.g., welding, punching, grinding).
  • Supervise material flow and enclosure assembly processes.
  • Mentor and train fabrication team members.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality protocols.
  • Identify and troubleshoot production issues.
  • Promote 5S principles for organized, clean, and safe work areas.
  • Recommend and assist with process improvements.
  • Enforce company policies and standards.
  • Communicate effectively across teams.

Requirements

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel; fabrication software a plus.
  • Skilled in metal fabrication processes (sheet metal, welding, machining, etc.).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
  • Strong math skills and mechanical aptitude.

Experience & Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in sheet metal or fabrication.
  • At least 5 years in a lead or supervisory role in a manufacturing environment.
