About Confidant Health

Confidant Health is a virtual behavioral health clinic and AI-powered care platform delivering rapid access to evidence-based treatment for mental health and substance use. We’re reimagining the behavioral health experience for patients and providers—which includes streamlining everything that gets in the way of great care.

We credential providers across the country, ensure accurate billing on every CPT code, and manage claims and payment workflows—all through a tech-forward, integrated platform. That’s where you come in.

Work From Home:

This is a primarily remote role, with occasional in-person collaboration at our Washington, DC office as needed.

Why This Role Matters

Behind every successful appointment and provider experience is a seamless operational engine. As our Credentialing & Revenue Cycle Specialist, you’ll ensure our providers are credentialed accurately and efficiently with key payers, our claims are clean, and our revenue flows without friction.

You’ll play a vital role in helping Confidant grow across new states and payer contracts while maintaining a high standard of compliance, accuracy, and service.

What You’ll Do

⚙️ Credentialing

  • Manage end-to-end credentialing and re-credentialing for providers with commercial and public payers

  • Maintain up-to-date provider rosters, CAQH profiles, NPI records, licensure, and insurance documentation

  • Monitor credentialing status and follow up regularly with payers and providers to avoid delays

  • Ensure compliance with payer and regulatory requirements across all operating states

  • Partner with provider success and partnerships to support new state and health plan launches

Revenue Cycle & Claims Management

  • Oversee claims submission process (batching, scrubbing, and EDI workflows)

  • Work with our billing vendor or internal systems to track claims through to payment

  • Investigate and resolve denials, rejections, and underpayments

  • Maintain a clean AR aging report and support month-end revenue reconciliation

  • Collaborate with clinical and support teams to ensure proper documentation and coding

Reporting & Process Improvement

  • Maintain accurate records in credentialing and billing databases (e.g., Airtable, Google Workspace, clearinghouse tools)

  • Support KPI tracking for claim resolution time, credentialing turnaround, and denial rate

  • Document workflows and contribute to continuous improvement of credentialing and RCM systems

✅ Who You Are

  • 2–4 years of experience in credentialing and/or revenue cycle management

  • Deep knowledge of payer enrollment, CAQH, NPPES, PECOS, and Medicaid/Medicare processes

  • Familiar with CPT codes, behavioral health billing, telehealth reimbursement, and HIPAA compliance

  • Exceptionally detail-oriented, organized, and process-driven

  • Proactive communicator who can coordinate across teams and external partners

  • Comfortable using tools like Slack, Google Workspace, Candid, clearinghouse websties etc.

Bonus If You:

  • Have experience with multi-state credentialing and group NPI management

  • Have worked in a telehealth or digital health startup

  • Are familiar with value-based care or risk-based payer contracts

  • Have supported Medicaid credentialing and billing workflows

What Success Looks Like

  • Provider credentialing time <30 days from contract

  • Clean claims rate >95%

  • Denial resolution rate >90% within 14 days

  • Accurate, up-to-date provider rosters across all active states

  • Smooth onboarding of new payers and geographies with minimal billing disruption

❤️ Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Join a mission-driven team transforming mental health and addiction care

  • Be part of a tech-forward company building systems the right way

  • Primarily remote with a supportive, low-ego, fast-moving culture

  • Build systems from the ground up with real ownership and visibility

  • Help amazing clinicians do what they do best—focus on care

Compensation & Benefits:

In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, equity opportunities, and recognition programs.

The salary for this role depends on several factors, including location, experience, and skills. We are committed to pay equity and providing equal opportunities to all applicants regardless of gender, race, or other protected characteristics.

Sound like a match? We’d love to hear from you.
Bring your precision, follow-through, and process chops—we’ll bring the mission, the tech, and the momentum.

Company Description

Meet Confidant, a revolutionary platform born out of a deep commitment to clinician well-being and exceptional patient outcomes. Pre-pandemic, we posed a bold question: what if the best behavioral health experience could truly be designed without the constraints of time and money? This vision compelled us to build a proprietary platform, crafted not to sell to clinics, but to empower the best providers focused on delivering quality outcomes.

Many clinicians were feeling misled, trapped in rigid structures and burdened with overwhelming administrative tasks that drained their passion for patient care. At Confidant, we recognized this and aimed to break the cycle of burnout that so many faced. We know from experience that when providers are bogged down by administrative stress and inadequate support, they struggle to focus on their true calling—helping patients thrive.

Through the years, we meticulously crafted a comprehensive solution that alleviates these pressures. Our fully managed platform effortlessly handles scheduling, billing, claims, and communication. Each provider is supported by dedicated clinical and administrative teams, with access to top-tier tools and six weeks of immersive training. We ensure that our providers can express their care without any distractions, allowing them to rediscover their passion and focus on delivering exceptional care.

From our founding, Confidant has grown organically to encompass 15,000 members, all without reliance on venture capital. We've prioritized quality over speed, establishing partnerships with leading payers under value-based contracts that have consistently shown outstanding results—ultimately rewarding our providers through quality bonuses.

Our clinical leadership brings profound insights gained from years of experience with national provider groups, along with seasoned technologists who understand the mechanics of health tech. This unique blend of expertise enables us to create data-driven solutions tailored specifically for modern behavioral health providers.

The success stories speak for themselves. The life-changing transformation of our providers is a testament to the impact of Confidant. No longer burdened by administrative chaos, they can focus on what matters—building strong relationships with their patients. One top therapy school graduate was on the verge of leaving the field until Confidant offered the clarity, support, and meaningful pathway they had been searching for.

At Confidant, we exist to be the reliable ally for providers seeking flexibility without the burden of running a practice alone. With our mission-driven approach, we're intensely committed to redefining the provider experience and ensuring that clinicians feel fully supported as they strive to deliver exceptional care. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, Confidant is the right choice for you. Join us and embrace a future where you can work freely, with fewer distractions, while making a profound impact on the lives of your patients.
